They ACTUALLY did it | State of Disneyland 2025-06-24

I was starting to think they wouldn't do it. They should. They were supposed to. But it had been so long I thought maybe they wouldn't. But they did. Or they will. July 1st. It will finally happen. What an incredible day it was at Disneyland for this report. Crowds were intense. Some of the most incredible queues I've seen in a while. We were able to watch some crazy stuff happen in real time at Haunted Mansion, Tianas Bayou Adventure and several other attractions. What a day! Join us as we tour the entire park. Every land and every attraction. We're looking at the crowds and queues and what's in the news. This is our State of Disneyland report. This is Fresh Baked!

Our Cambria Hotel to Disneyland experience

I want to know what it's like to stay in the hotels around the Disneyland Resort. Not just the on property hotels. Not just the ones on Harbor. But also, the ones that are not quite as convenient but still worth a look. Do YOU want to know what it's like to stay at the Cambria Hotel and Suites as part of your visit to Disneyland? Join me and I'll show you!

First signs of Disneyland Forward!? | Disneyland construction 2025/06/20

There is something happening this week at just about every parking lot at the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland Hotel, Mickey and Friends, and Toy Story. ESPECIALLY Toy Story. Something is going on at Toy Story. We'll also tell you what's going on at Soarin Around the World, the latest from Pixie Hollow and the Matterhorn, and lots lots more. BIG WEEK in construction news this week.

Our amazing 2 day stay at Disney's Grand Californian Resort

We had the opportunity to stay a couple days at Disney's Grand Californian Resort courtesy of Getaway Today and we took advantage! It was a great way to show the room, the glorious lobby, the pool, or the story tellers cafe (which we did ALL of those things). It was also a great opportunity to show the fun of being able to bounce back and forth between our room and the park, which we did on several occasions. And don't forget we were also able to enjoy early entry to both parks, and our strategies for how to best take advantage. If you missed that video, be sure to check it out here: Early Entry Video: https://bit.ly/3ZG00tK

I have NEWS about the Hyperion | State of DCA 06/18/2025

We've entered a very important timeline for California Adventure. 4, possibly 5(?) new attractions are on the way in the next few years. We'll talk about some of that news, but we've also got news on the HYPERION as well. Watch to find out. Along the way we'll do some incredible park science at Toy Story, try the new pretzels and a new drink at Pym's, and explain why Soarin Around the World is a 100 minute stand by. This is our State of DCA report. This is Fresh Baked.

Our Early Entry Strategy for Disneyland and California Adventure

Guests staying on property at the Disneyland Resort are allowed into the parks 30 minutes prior to everyone else. It's a pretty neat advantage, and a great way to get a head start on some of your favorite rides. The question asked: WHAT IS THE BEST EARLY ENTRY STRATEGY AT DISNEYLAND? Great question. We had an opportunity to test this last week and the results were both expected (Disneyland) and shocking (DCA!). This is our attempt and we were SO CLOSE to getting this right I think.

The Matterhorn is complicated | Disneyland construction 2025/06/13

I was hoping for something a little less complex, but judging by how things are going at the Matterhorn right now, this could refurb could take longer than I'd hoped. NEW scaffolding is going up, meaning they're just now getting started on parts of the job. Meanwhile, we've got updates from Avengers Campus E ticket construction, something unexpected has happened at Pixie Hollow, and Storybook Land may be getting a significant change soon.

Big changes at Jurassic World + Fast n Furious ride vehicle reveal

Looking for something a little different and a little more fun at Universal Studios Hollywood? Good news, Mega Movie Summer is here! A celebration of some awesome properties like Jaws, Jurassic Park, Wicked, Back to the Future and a dash of Fast and Furious. We've got a room tour Walking through the islands a bit Drinks by the pool Dinner at Sebastians Transportation review to the parks (buses and skyliner)

Bad news for Tomorrowland 3.0 | State of Disneyland 2025/06/09

Exciting news at the Disneyland resort with respect to expansion. But it's all at DCA. What about Disneyland? What about Tomorrowland? I'm afraid we'll probably have to wait a while for anything like to happen. Join us as we tour the entire park. Every land and every attraction. We're looking at the crowds and queues and what's in the news. This is our State of Disneyland report. This is Fresh Baked!

What to expect FIRST with new expansion construction | Disneyland construction 2025/06/06

So much construction news going on right now I had to make two videos. One walking through all the proposed sites (published on Saturday), and another for our usual construction updates PLUS what we believe will be the order of operations. It's all going to start at the Pixar Pier, and that perhaps surprised me more than any other piece of information from the latest announcements. Let's get into it!

Saying goodbye to Muppets and Rockin Roller Coaster | Hollywood Studios WDW

Our last stop of our trip to Florida is Hollywood Studios. First priorities are Tower of Terror and perhaps our last ride on Rockin Roller Coaster. We're also saying goodbye for sure to Muppet Vision 3D and the rest of the Muppet Courtyard. BUT...on our next trip, the construction recon begins! So yeah, I'm pretty excited about that.

Disneyland EXPANSION begins!! Exciting updates on where it all goes!

Disney has confirmed the sites for three new exciting expansion plans for the Disneyland resort. The entrance to Disneyland, the Avatar destination, and the new Coco ride. We're going to walk all of those work sites and talk about what we know so far. Where it will go, how they'll make it happen, and why it's being done the way that it is.

EVERYTHING we ate at the Disneyland Resort | May 2025

We're at the Disneyland Resort often, and when we're there, we try to eat as much of the new food as possible. And when that's not possible, we try to eat something we've never had before. Which is great...because then we get to share our thoughts with you. This is everything we ate at the Disneyland Resort for the month of May in 2024.

June brings crowds and REX to California Adventure | State of DCA 06/02/2025

June marks the beginning of Summer at the Disneyland Resort (almost). With it is some warmer weather, bigger crowds, and REX at Pixar Pier. We'll find him, and some new food at Paradise Garden which was incredible. Join us as we take a complete tour around the entire park. Every land and every attraction. This is our State of DCA report. This is FreshBaked!

Walls don't look good but they're REALLY GOOD!! | Disneyland construction 2025/05/30

First thing I noticed on this construction recon morning were NEW WALLS up around Pixie Hollow. It's a really bad, scary sign in that we already went through a walled up period at Pixie Hollow. Have we regressed? It's already been 6 months since it was supposed to have reopened. But it's not bad. It's good. We'll explain why.

Animal Kingdom Park Science! | Rope drop Flight of Passage?

Something I've been wanting to do for a VERY long time. Recon at WDW. A dream is coming true on this Saturday morning at Animal Kingdom where we're rope dropping Flight of Passage. Not just because we want to ride Flight of Passage. But for science. I want to know what the value is of rope dropping the most popular attraction in the park. Is it worth it to rope drop? Let's find out!

Unexpected!! crazy crowd days like the past | State of Disneyland 2025/05/27

Reservation calendar suggested it was going to be a pretty busy day at Disneyland. I was not prepared for just how bonkers it would be. Especially in Adventureland where we encountered a scened the likes of which I havent seen in a VERY long time. Join us as we tour the entire park. Every land and every attraction. We're looking at the crowds and queues and what's in the news. This is our State of Disneyland report. This is Fresh Baked!

Things SPEEDING UP at Avengers Campus | Disneyland construction 2025/05/27

This week while construction and refurbs are in a holding pattern around Disneyland, things are definitely speeding up around Avengers Campus in California Adventure. Actual BUILDING is beginning backstage while the restroom at Avengers Campus is moving forward very quickly. Also this week: the latest from the Matterhorn a surprising find at the Tiki Room possibly POSITIVE SIGNS at Pixie Hollow

I was NOT READY for Islands of Adventure

We booked our 2nd day at Universal with Islands of Adventure. I've been there just once before, saw 2 attractions, then left for Universal Orlando. So it was basically a brand new park to me. Thought I wouldn't like it at all. But I did. Some of it was actually kind of awesome. Even Dr. Seuss land, which despite being nightmare fuel in some ways, was perhaps the most fun I had all day. This is our Islands of Adventure experience.

Our OPENING DAY experience at Epic Universe

In this second video from Epic Universe, Liz and I enjoy the park as a park. Riding a bunch of rides (way more than I thought we'd do), eat some amazing pretzels, hang out with friends, and meet Toothless the dragon! The park was dead, yes. But we'll be keeping that discussion to a minimum here, as in this video, we're just trying to enjoy Epic Universe as a wonderful place to be.

Epic Universe fail or was this always the plan? | The Harry Potter Effect

Epic Universe is officially open to the public. Opening day and some were predicting disaster based on how poorly the previews went. But then something ELSE happened. The park was dead. Super lower wait times every where and all day. What happened? Did people choose not to go? Was the opening an Epic fail? OR...was is something completely different. We're going to explain why this was something that was most likely entirely expected and intentional.

What Every First Timer Needs to Know before going to Disneyland

Going to Disneyland these days can be an anxious experience. Intimidating even. We've made it much simpler for you in this video by identifying the MOST important things to consider. Tickets, hotels, dealing with long lines, where to eat, how to find when and where your favorite character might. Where to see the big night time spectaculars. Easy to watch and learn. And in 15 minutes, you'll feel ready for Disneyland and not at all anxious.

Tough day to be at DCA for the 70th| State of DCA 05/19/25

Tough day for DCA Today. I was expecting light crowds like those we saw on Friday, but instead we got a pretty busy one. And then things started got worse from there. Join us as we take a complete tour around the entire park. Every land and every attraction. This is our State of DCA report. This is FreshBaked!

They DID IT and it's BEAUTIFUL | Disneyland construction 2025/05/16

This week the headline is...a restroom remodel. Weird, but for good reason! Because that restroom has been behind an enormous set of walls for going on 2 years? The walls are down and revealed is this BEAUTIFUL stone etching of a ruin inspired by the Jungle Book. It's wonderful. Also this week: There's a building missing in Downtown Disney New phase at Avengers E Ticket construction GREAT news from Casey Jr

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Was NOT What I Expected

Disneyland's 70th anniversary has officially begun, and we were there to enjoy all the opening day (and night) festivities. We had an idea of what we should expect for the day, but what we found was NOT what we expected. What was it like being there on opening day? Join as we take a tour around Disneyland to enjoy as much of the 70th as we could on this day.
